F.L.W on Oceanbeach Road.

This house was hidden from view for years by an acre of large trees and bushes.
The rest if the site was excavated and cleared, with the plan of building a complex here, but the recession hit and this building remains the only dwelling.
This view is from the south, the beach access.
Loving the Fallingwater esque balconies, teamed with very 70s paint and faux stone work.
J'Adore!

Marine Parade

The South end (left hand side) has the parking space below it.
The rest of this rectangular house (reminds me of a shipping container! *sigh*) sits on the soil and has an open plan kitchen and living that opens to the deck area.

( Terribe photos of a wonderful new build.
Hopefully a few more recon missions will get something that does it justice! )

Karewa Parade, Papamoa

This house is on a shared beachfront site. I think it is interesting how they have built up (gathering a sea view from their back position) and used the width of what must be a now narrow area to advantage.
The void between the garages is the driveway to the existing bach.
You can see the sofa in the lounge above it!
The lighting in the photo isn't very good but the uprights around the right hand garage are stone.
